Gold Plate is a recurring crafting item in the Epic Battle Fantasy series, introduced in Epic Battle Fantasy 3. It is a piece of gold used for forging numerous pieces of equipment, chiefly those that feature yellow and golden parts or ornaments.

In EBF3, Gold Plates can be bought in The Town for 12,000 gold after they've been collected elsewhere (i.e. from enemies, chests, or quests) at least once. 40 are needed to fully upgrade everything; prior to the 2016 update, only 38 were needed.

In EBF4, Gold Plates can be purchased in Goldenbrick Resort for 12,000 gold; 90 are needed for forging purposes.

In EBF5, Gold Plates were updated to resemble jigsaw puzzle pieces. They can be bought at the Material Shop of The Great Sea and Redpine Town for 12,000 gold; 94 will be needed for all the relevant equipment.

Drop Rate

Gold Plates are mostly dropped from Holy and Thunder-based foes, particularly ones with prominent golden details or accessories.

Trivia

• The EBF5 design of the Gold Plate resembles a Jiggy from the Banjo-Kazooie series.
• The Thunder Core and the Genji Helmet are the only pieces of equipment to appear in all of Epic Battle Fantasy 3, 4 and 5 and only require Gold Plates for forging in one of their appearances.
• The Ancient Monolith is the only foe to drop Gold Plates in all of its appearances in the main series.
