CORALIA is a miniboss and a summon in Epic Battle Fantasy 5 introduced in the v2 update. She's found in a secret room in The Great Sea, one screen north of the Slime Cat. She's a member of the Arcade foes.

Appearance

CORALIA is a pixelated depiction of a mermaid with cyan skin and green hair, eyes and scales. Her hair is long enough to cover her chest (fortunately for her, since whoever made her game never bothered to give her a shirt), and her ears appear to be long and fin-like. She also has a golden mirror that she uses for some skills.

CORALIA's arcade room is located in a cave on an inconspicuous island. Inside there is a seawater pool and oceanic fauna.

Overview

CORALIA's attacks can debuff almost any stat on top of inflicting Syphon, Wet, and a powerful Disable, and she tends to use potent buffs on herself as her second action. Unlike normal buffs, they will stack instead of overwriting each other, letting her boost her strength to dangerous levels. On harder difficulties, they will also apply Defend, Regen, or even Lovable. Skills with a high Dispel chance are vital in order to negate these effects and stop her from growing too strong; inflicting Curse and Weaken will also help keep her buffs in check.

CORALIA's attacks use the Ice, Water, Bio, and Wind elements, but as they are only 25% elemental, elemental resistance does not need to be a priority. She is weak to Thunder, Dark, and Bio, resists Wind, and absorbs Ice, Water and Holy. With "More Foe Resistance" enabled, she loses the Dark weakness, absorbs Wind, and becomes resistant to Fire.

CORALIA gains up to 24% extra Attack, Magic Attack, HP and Accuracy depending on how many optional bosses have been killed, medals awarded and monster cards obtained:


After level 33, CORALIA gains a 5% boost to Attack and Magic Attack, and a 2.5% boost to HP and Accuracy on every level-up (these boosts stack additively, acting as a multiplier). This boost caps out at level 36.

1st Action

  • If Berserked → Mermaid Fishes;

2nd Action

  • If Berserked → Mermaid Fishes;
  • Otherwise → Mermaid Song (1/3);
    • If CORALIA still hasn't buffed yet, or the last Mirror buff used was Mirror 3 → Mirror 1 (2/3);
    • If the last Mirror buff used was Mirror 1 → Mirror 2 (2/3);
    • If the last Mirror buff used was Mirror 2 → Mirror 3 (2/3).

Counter (only if Counter-Attacking Foes is enabled)

CORALIA can be captured to be used as a summon. When called upon, she looks into her mirror before blowing a kiss and maximizing the party's Evade.
