Hope Harbor is a location in Epic Battle Fantasy 5. It is Matt's hometown and the first area in the game; unlike most areas, the name "Hope Harbor" refers to both the town and the surrounding areas.

Description

The vast majority of Hope Harbor is rocky land or desert, with vast swaths having little water outside of the ocean. As the name suggests, it is a fairly calm port town which specializes in trade and fishing; despite having easy access to the ocean, its Material Shop only has low-grade materials for sale. It is also home to the Grand Gallery, an expansive museum featuring a wide range of art and creatures collected from across the world.

The raft builder of Mystic Woods sometimes helps the people of Hope Harbor to make rafts for personal use, but a combination of the most direct path to the woods being destroyed and Laurelin trapping the raft builder in his home has left most of Hope Harbor has been stranded and isolated.

Hope Harbor occupies the southwestern portion of the northern continent, surrounding the Wild Tropics. The southern piers appear to be the residential area, as well as featuring a Food Shop and a Material Shop. The northern side of the harbor has the Farmer's Market (including a Steroid Shop and a Shovel that can be conveniently "borrowed" for the party's use), as well as an inn, a Weapon Shop, and the Grand Gallery.

The Ice Cave is found in Hope Harbor's southeastern corner, and No Man's Land lies to the east, mostly separated by a tributary of the Rainbow River (which can also be accessed from the southern piers). The northeastern corner of Hope Harbor has access to the Deathly Hollows and the Forgotten Ruins.

After completing the Mystic Woods by obtaining the Raft from the raftmaker, a Glitch Area will become accessible near the stairs leading to the Grand Gallery (a few tiles away from where Natalie was fought). Since the v2 update, there is an Arcade containing ANGRY CHAIR hidden behind the Weapon Shop.

The music that plays in Hope Harbor is Sunset Harbor, a remixed version of We Dream of Booty (Rock Lake's theme from Epic Battle Fantasy 3).
