Medal Areas
Medal Areas, or Medal Rooms (both names being unofficial) are optional locations scattered around the map of Epic Battle Fantasy 3, filled with treasure guarded by strong foes. With the exception of The Town and The Rift, the other five regions in the game each have a Medal Area with its "interior" having aesthetics similar to the nearby location.
Each Medal Area are guarded by a NPC who will leave after their number of requested medals are achieved.
- The Vegetable Forest Medals Area requires 10 Medals to enter.
- The Rock Lake Medals Area requires 20 Medals to enter.
- The Glacier Valley Medals Area requires 30 Medals to enter.
- The Kitten Kingdom Ruins Medals Area requires 40 Medals to enter.
- The Volcano Peak Medals Area requires all 60 Medals to enter. As a few of those Medals are only acquired by completing the game on different difficulty levels, it is the only Medal Area that cannot be accessed on a player's first playthrough; they will have to play a New Game Plus or start on another file in order to enter the area.
List of Enemies by Order of Appearance
Each Medal Area has a selection of foes; some are related to the wider area, while others are not. Unlike other encounters, these foes will not show up in-game unless their spawn tile is walked on; however, they can be bypassed by immediately fleeing the ensuing battle, allowing players to collect the treasure in each Medal Area without having to battle the enemies.
