The Camo Jacket (previously known as the Army Jacket) is a male armor available in Epic Battle Fantasy 3, 4 and 5. Its hat counterpart is the Army Helmet, and its female armor counterpart is the Camo Skirt.

Description

The Army Jacket includes a white shirt, a green military jacket, green pants with a camouflage design, and a bandolier of ammunition. When worn by Matt or NoLegs, the ammunition will dangle behind their back.

In EBF5, the Camo Jacket has more detailed camouflage patterns and changes color depending on the wearer's equipped weapon; it can be brown, gray, green, blue, or red. All but the first come with a black undershirt; the brown variant has a brown undershirt as well.

The Camo Jacket provides the wearer with resistance against Bomb-element attacks, as well as randomly casting a powerful Bomb-based skill between turns. This combination makes it very effective against mechanical enemies, who tend to use a lot of Bomb-element attacks while being weak to the same element; however, its stat bonuses are considerably lower than that of many other armors.

Epic Battle Fantasy 3

The Army Jacket has a decent boost to both defenses and a minor HP bonus. When fully upgraded, it can randomly cast Airstrike between turns; considering the number of Bomb-weak foes in EBF3, this can deal solid damage in most fights. However, its relatively lacking bulk and situational resistance means that it's not an especially durable armor; plan your strategies accordingly.

The Army Jacket resists Bomb, up to 60% at Level 5.

Epic Battle Fantasy 4

The Army Jacket has fair Defence and Magic Defence supplemented by a small Evade boost. It can randomly cast Air Strike between turns, with the chance increasing as it is upgraded.

The Army Jacket resists Bomb and Stagger, becoming immune to the latter at Level 5.

Normal

The Camo Jacket grants moderate Defence, Magic Defence, and Evade. It boosts the damage of Bomb skills, including the Big Bomb it can drop between turns. This makes it an ideal armor for Lance and his natural Bomb skills, but Matt and NoLegs can also utilize the boost with Bullet Bob and Big Bullet.

The Camo Jacket resists Bomb, Confuse and Stagger, becoming immune to the latter two at Level 5.

Equip Remix

The Alt Camo Jacket takes "battlefield support" to another level. While it has reasonable Defence and Magic Defence, its main asset is the array of passive boosts it grants; whoever wears this armor will enjoy more powerful buffing skills, debuffing skills, and all consumable items (healing, buffing, and thrown).

This combination makes the Alt Camo Jacket useful for any support build, although it can run into competition from other armors depending on the specific build and character. For instance, NoLegs may prefer the Alt Priest's Tunic or the Alt Hipster Shirt for a buff build (since he has little to no debuffing capability), and Lance may get better mileage from the Alt Flame Suit's superior bulk and additional status boost.

The Alt Camo Jacket resists Earth, Bio, and Bomb. None of these become an immunity at Level 5.

The Army Jacket is available from the beginning of the game as Lance's default armor.

Epic Battle Fantasy 5

The Camo Jacket is found inside a chest in the Wild Tropics, one screen south of where you fight Natalie. The chest is on the right side of a small grove; to reach it, take the upper-right exit and follow the looping path on the next screen. The path is guarded by two battles; one appears as a Putrid Worm (and only appears when you approach the exit), and the other appears as a Leafy Chomper.

Trivia

• The most common Camo Jacket color is brown, with 26 different weapons (nine of Matt's, six of Lance's, and eleven of NoLegs's) causing it to take that palette. Conversely, blue is the least common color; notably, NoLegs has no weapons that give him that palette, while Matt and Lance only have three weapons each.
• The red Camo Jacket is the only color variation to appear with the exact same number of weapons among all three male characters; specifically, four.
