Rock Rune
The Rock Rune is a foe in Epic Battle Fantasy 3. It appears only as a helper to the Protector boss.
Appearance
The Rock Rune is made out of two main parts: a sphere and a disk, both made of off-white stone. The disk is covered with some sort of illegible writing. A tan crystal is embedded in the top of the Rune's sphere, and another crystal is attached to the bottom of its disk.
Overview
The Rock Rune is a fragile foe that has above-average Evade and high Magic Attack. It casts single-target Earth and Poison attacks, and can self-destruct at low health to hit the party with Bomb damage.
The Rock Rune's high Magic Attack isn't as relevant as you might think, since the only two spells in its arsenal are its self-destruct move and Ivy, the latter being the weakest of its standard attacks. It can be easily disabled with Syphon, forcing it to only use a weak physical attack; keep in mind that it can still blow itself up if its HP falls below the threshold.
Due to the nature of the Protector fight, the player should kill all Runes as soon as possible, preferably with Airstrike.
Rock Runes absorb Earth and are immune to Poison, Thunder, and Berserk. However, they are very weak to Wind and especially Water.
