Ivy is a basic Bio skill in the Epic Battle Fantasy series. It is used by foes and the special effects of equipment in Epic Battle Fantasy 3, becomes one of Anna's natural skills in Epic Battle Fantasy 4, and is a shared skill for Matt, Anna, and NoLegs in Epic Battle Fantasy 5.

Description

When cast, three spiky green vines burst out of the ground, impaling the target as several bubbles of green poison emanate around them. This deals modest Bio damage and has a good chance to inflict Poison.

Ivy's elemental degree has varied significantly between appearances; it's also notable as one of the few skills to change type between games. In EBF4 and EBF5, it is the weaker version of Vines and should only be used until the latter becomes available.

Ivy is now a skill available for Anna. It changed from magical to physical and can be upgraded to do more damage than its EBF3 version, but it has a lower elemental degree, less Poison stacks applied per use, and a worse status chance until it's fully upgraded.

Epic Battle Fantasy 5

Ivy is obtained by completing Wohehiv's quest in Hope Harbor, two screens above Jotun's location. It is now a shared skill for Anna, Matt, or NoLegs; Leaf Blade replaces it as Anna's natural Bio skill. It is now a pure elemental attack with slightly more power and a stronger Poison chance than its EBF4 version; however, its infliction chance per level is also lower and it costs more AP to upgrade.

Ivy becomes Vines at Level 3.
