The Robot Ears are a female hat found in Epic Battle Fantasy 5. Their armor counterpart is the Mecha Suit.

Description

The Robot Ears are a pair of cybernetic antennae worn over the ears. The main portion is a ring of grey metal with a round red center and two red fins sticking out of it. They also style part of their wearer's hair into short pigtails which are parallel to their larger, rearmost fins.

According to their menu description, the Robot Ears allow the wearer's brain to access wi-fi, although this has no particular effect on gameplay or the story.

Normal

The Robot Ears provide moderate boosts to Defence and Magic Defence, as well as the third-best Attack and Magic Attack of any female hat. They also boast the best Accuracy boost of any female hat and the ability to randomly summon a Cat Sniper between turns, dealing light Bomb damage with a small chance of Instant Death.

Unfortunately for the Robot Ears, their main assets are largely irrelevant; Accuracy is rarely a concern in the game, and the Cat Sniper summon suffers from low power and an unreliable Death chance (although it triggers fairly often). As such, they should be used primarily for their combination of offense and defense; the hats with even better offensive stats also have less bulk. If high Accuracy is required, consider using the Ninja Chopsticks instead; in exchange for half of the Robot Ears' bulk and a tiny bit of Accuracy, they offer a huge Evade boost and empower throwing items.

The Robot Ears resist both Bio and Bomb, but have a weakness to Thunder. The resistances do not become an immunity at Level 5, but the Thunder weakness remains consistent at all forging levels.

Equip Remix

The Alt Robot Ears have strong defenses and a modest boost to both Accuracy and Evade. This makes them quite durable overall, but their only special effect is to randomly cast Lock On between turns: while it has a good trigger chance, it's fairly insignificant aside from free Good Luck.

In terms of raw defenses, the Alt Robot Ears are only matched by the Alt Curly Horns, which tend to outclass them in most situations; although they lack Accuracy/Evade boosts or an auto-skill, their buff/debuff boost often proves more useful for a defensive support build. The Alt Fur Hat and Alt Ice Shards can also provide defensive competition, trading some defenses for boosts to HP and Evade, respectively.

The Alt Robot Ears resist Thunder and Bomb, becoming immune to neither at Level 5.

Epic Battle Fantasy 5

The Robot Ears are found inside a chest in one of the puzzle rooms in the Mineshaft Maze, along with the Mecha Suit. To reveal the chest, complete the walk-once puzzle in the room.
