The Scottish Kilt is a male armor available in Epic Battle Fantasy 5. Its hat counterpart is the Scottish Cap.

Description

The Scottish Kilt is a woolen kilt in colored tartan; according to its menu description, it lacks underwear. It also has a black belt with an elaborate silver buckle and a long-sleeved shirt; Matt and Lance's versions come with studded cuffs, long stockings, black boots, and a second black belt that crosses over their right shoulder and connects with the belt around their waist.

When worn by Matt or NoLegs, the Scottish Kilt is various shades of green; Matt's version also has white stockings. On the other hand, Lance wears a red tartan kilt with a brown shirt and black stockings.

Normal

The Scottish Kilt gives a good boost to Defence and Magic Defence, as well as moderate boosts to Attack, Accuracy, and Evade. While its stats are decent and well-balanced, it is most notable for its high chance of granting Morale to the wearer between turns. When fully upgraded, the status becomes effectively permanent, which can be very useful against foes that use lots of defensive debuffs or powerful single-hit attacks.

Additionally, the Scottish Kilt can summon Rain between turns to potentially Wet everyone on the battlefield. This helps set up combos with Ice and Thunder builds, while the armor's Wet resistance mitigates the risk of backfires against the wearer. Be mindful of your allies and foes to make sure that the party can get the maximum benefit from Rain with minimal risk.

The Scottish Kilt has a weakness to Ice (30% at all levels), but grants resistance against Earth, Wet and Dry; the latter two resistances become an immunity at Level 5.

Equip Remix

The Alt Scottish Kilt offers good Defence and Magic Defence, decent Attack and Magic Attack, and a nice Accuracy bonus second only to the Alt Ninja Gear. It improves the wearer's Water skills and increases the chances of Capturing foes, giving it some interesting utility.

Among the many Water-boosting male armors in Equip Remix, the Alt Scottish Kilt has the best offenses and Accuracy in exchange for less versatility; it's also a little bulkier than the Alt Captain's Coat. On the other hand, it lacks the pure utility of the Alt Hobo Clothes (which have an identical capture boost and Earth resistance) in exchange for more offensive power, especially for Matt and NoLegs.

The Alt Scottish Kilt resists Earth and Water; neither becomes an immunity at Level 5. On the other hand, its wearer becomes weak to Chill and Freeze, with 50% vulnerability no matter its forging level.

Epic Battle Fantasy 5

The Scottish Kilt is found inside a chest in the deepest part of the Freezeflame Dungeon, accessible after defeating Sól and Skadi.
