Power Paw
The Power Paw is a Bomb-elemental cat toy available for NoLegs in Epic Battle Fantasy 5.
Description
The Power Paw is a four-fingered glove resembling a cat's paw (hence the name), with a game controller attached to the back. Its associated weapon is a gun held by the barrel to serve as a blunt weapon. Both the glove and the gun have a black and chrome color scheme.
Normal
The Power Paw grants a strong boost to Attack along with an above-average boost to Accuracy and smaller boosts to HP and Magic Attack. It has a chance to inflict Stagger with Weapon-elemental attacks, but it can be difficult to set up combos with the party due to its Bullet Bob unleash. Additionally, it has a fair chance to summon a Gray Pixel between turns, allowing it to inflict a ton of Weaken stacks on a single enemy.
While it's hampered by NoLegs's relative lack of Bomb skills to exploit its elemental boost (only Bullet Bob and Big Bullet), the Power Paw is still a solid offensive weapon with some interesting perks. If Stagger infliction is desired, Swift Slash and Final Cutter can be used to avoid triggering its unleash; the former also has the potential to Stagger the entire enemy wave at once. Coupled with its auto-summon, it can greatly empower allied Dark attacks while leaving ample Weaken stacks to degrade the victim's offensive presence; however, other weapons are typically better for setting up combos.
The Power Paw resists Bomb, Thunder and Bio. None of these resistances become an immunity at Level 5.
Equip Remix
The Alt Power Paw has balanced (if below-average) offenses, good Accuracy, and a little HP. Unlike its normal version, it's a Thunder-based weapon with a matching elemental boost and some nasty abilities. Its Weapon-elemental skills can potentially unleash Electron Gun to Stun their target while dealing further damage that can be boosted by the occasional Stagger effect. Between turns, it may summon ROBO to hit a random foe with magical Thunder damage that can Stun them or severely debuff their Accuracy. It also increases the chance of landing status effects; this won't affect its auto-summon, but benefits its unleash along with NoLegs's innate attacks.
Although its Thunder damage pales next to the Alt Neon Lightbulb, the Alt Power Paw can be an effective utility weapon. It should be paired with the Alt Meow Meow Badge to improve its rather low unleash chance, giving NoLegs a little more consistency with Electron Gun; the Alt Bitey Badge can be used to maintain the Accuracy debuffs inflicted by its auto-summon. Overall, it's fairly effective at negating the threat of multiple opponents at once, although the Alt Book of Spells provides stiff competition with its capability for mass Freeze-infliction.
The Alt Power Paw is resistant to Bomb, Thunder, Stagger, and Confuse, becoming immune to the latter two at Level 5.

The Power Paw is found by examining a star at the end of the Secret World. The star is accessible after defeating Snowflake.

Trivia
- The Power Paw's design is a reference to the Power Glove and NES Zapper, two peripherals made for the Nintendo Entertainment System. This use of retro video games for weaponry is reminiscent of the Ultra Zapper in EBF4.
