Natalie in the Cat Costume.

The Cat Costume is a female armor available for Natalie in Epic Battle Fantasy 3. Its hat counterpart is the Cat Ears.

Description

The Cat Costume includes a small tube top, long detached sleeves, and a knee-length skirt with a rope belt that resembles a cat's tail - all of them are orange with black stripes, resembling a tiger's coat. It also gives Natalie brown boots with yellow buckles and a black choker necklace with a round silver bell,

Epic Battle Fantasy 3

The Cat Costume has good Magic Defence and Evade, decent Accuracy and Magic Attack, and the worst Defence of any female armor. When fully upgraded, it can summon NoLegs between turns to provide random healing items.

The Cat Costume is an offensive-leaning armor that helps Natalie dodge enemy attacks and avoid being afflicted with some of the most dangerous status effects in the game; however, its auto-summon is very unreliable and its poor Defence can be problematic, especially since Natalie's base Evade isn't particularly high. The Camo Skirt and the Red Dress have identical Magic Attack and better synergy with her stats; the former better mitigates Natalie's lacking physical bulk and offers a slightly more reliable healing skill, while the latter is all-around bulkier while offering a valuable Magic Attack buff if she takes a powerful blow. For Evade-based builds, the Cat Costume also has to contend with the Ninja Skirt, which offers even better Accuracy and Evade and marginally higher Defence while resisting Dark instead of Syphon.

Unlike most outfits, the Cat Costume doesn't resist any elements; instead, it protects Natalie from Syphon, Stun, and Death. At maximum level, it becomes immune to all three ailments.

Epic Battle Fantasy 4

The Cat Costume is also present in the data of Epic Battle Fantasy 4, but it was cut during development. Compared to the Obsidian, another piece of equipment with the same fate, it is much less developed: its stats are identical to the Cow Costume, but with an even higher HP bonus (30% at Level 5), and it has no forging items specified.

Epic Battle Fantasy 3

The Cat Costume is found in the secret area of Vegetable Forest, which becomes accessible after getting 10 Medals.

Note: NoLegs' level is set to undefined when a battle starts. Whenever a skill is manually used by the player or automatically triggered by a counter (note that skills triggered by the "May cast X" equipment effect are always ignored), NoLegs' level will change to the level of the cast skill. If the skill level is either undefined or higher than 5, NoLegs will always bring a Pumpkin.
