The Elven Shield is a Earth-elemental cat toy available for NoLegs' in Epic Battle Fantasy 5.

Description

The Elven Shield is a small, irregular wooden shield with a red symbol resembling a three-leaf clover. It comes with a small metal sword with a wooden hilt that has a small red gem set in the curved crossguard.

Normal

The Elven Shield is a well-balanced weapon noteworthy for its capability to make NoLegs immune to no less than three elements when fully upgraded. It stats are serviceable, with small boosts to Defence and Magic Defence alongside average offenses, and it grants various miscellaneous effects which either allow NoLegs to provide a bit of support to the party or bolster his own capabilities.

The Elven Shield can occasionally give Good Luck to NoLegs between turns, and its weapon-elemental skills have a high chance to inflict Bad Luck on their targets. When these traits are combined, NoLegs will have a great net boost to his Evade and Accuracy while being more likely to inflict Status Effects; the Bad Luck application is especially appreciated by Doom-capable players (like Heartstopper Lance or Fat Fly status Anna). However, the Human Skull may be better for Bad Luck-focused support builds, due to it also boosting status infliction and applying a strong Defence debuff on hit.

The Elven Shield can cast Fairy Bomb between turns; it's not very powerful and lacks special effects, but a very high trigger chance lets NoLegs add some extra damage to foes without Holy resistance. It also has a Stone Fist unleash which may inflict Stagger and gives NoLegs a way to exploit the weapon's Earth boost; however, it doesn't have a very high trigger chance, requiring a Normal Attack and the Meow Meow Badge to guarantee its activation.

The Elven Shield resists Bio, Earth and Holy, becoming immune to all of them at Level 5.

Equip Remix

The Alt Elven Shield is an offensive support weapon with slightly below-average boosts to both offenses and defenses, along with a decent Evade increase and an immunity to two elements. It powers up NoLegs's Earth and Holy attacks, as well as his buffing and healing skills. Although NoLegs needs shared skills to fully exploit most of these boosts, they give him quite a bit of versatility in the party.

As a buffing cat toy, the Alt Elven Shield can be considered a "safer" alternative to the Alt Honjo Masamune; it has far, far less Evade, but its existent defenses and lack of a HP penalty make NoLegs less vulnerable if the RNG isn't in his favor. On the other hand, it has much less offensive potential than the Alt King's Guard, but it has an Evade boost and better Accuracy.

The Alt Elven Shield has Earth and Holy resistances that both become an immunity at Level 5.

Epic Battle Fantasy 5

The Elven Shield is found inside a chest in the Deathly Hollows. The chest is behind a giant skull, which is raised by the correct combination of levers (Hint: 3 levers need to be activated, and the hidden one is one of them).
