Lumber
Lumber is an advanced Earth-elemental skill available for Anna in Epic Battle Fantasy 4 and 5.
Description
Lumber causes a trio of sharpened logs to burst out of the ground from beneath a single foe, dealing high physical damage with a chance to stagger them. As the logs burst out, several thin slices of wood go flying.
In Epic Battle Fantasy 4, the way multi-hit skills applied status means that while a strong skill, Lumber is unlikely to be useful for applying Stagger, as the total chance is divided by the number of hits, and any successful Stagger proc with the first two hits will be used up by the next hit. To reliably apply Stagger, one should use Log. In the v3 update this was partially addressed by making the last hit have triple the status chance (up to 70% at max level), while Log still is more reliable if one only aims to set up Stagger for another attacker, if Anna herself is also built for damage, the much higher power of Lumber may make it worth the slightly lower infliction chance.
In Epic Battle Fantasy 5, the above is a non-issue since statuses are only applied on the last hit.
