Coral Staff

The Coral Staff is a Water-elemental staff available for Natalie in Epic Battle Fantasy 4.

Description

The Coral Staff, as its name suggests, is made of mostly pink coral with a cluster of red and purple coral for a head. The head also features a small sea star and a large pink conch shell.

The Coral Staff provides Natalie with an above-average boost to Magic Attack and a small boost to HP and MP. While Natalie has no innate Water skills to take advantage of its elemental boost, she can learn Bubble Blast as a shared skill. The Coral Staff can automatically cast Bubble Blast with weapon-elemental skills, although its activation chance is fairly low.

As with most of Natalie's staves in EBF4, the Coral Staff has decent Magic Attack and should be used when elementally appropriate, or substituted for the Crystal Staff. It's actually slightly stronger than most of its competition, although this is balanced by Natalie's relative dearth of Water skills to exploit.

The Coral Staff increases Natalie's resistance to Fire, Water, and Burn. Only the last becomes an immunity at Level 5.

Epic Battle Fantasy 4

The Coral Staff is found at the very end of Lankyroot Jungle, in a chest on the cliff accessible after beating Rafflesia. The chest is blocked by a Gold Block, requiring a Gold Key to bypass.
