Chrome Earrings
The Chrome Earrings are a Flair available in Epic Battle Fantasy 5.
Description
As the name suggests, the Chrome Earrings are a pair of earrings made of silver metal, worn on the character's ears when equipped. Each earring is shaped like a pair of triangles with the points facing away from each other; the lower triangle is slightly smaller than the upper one. The triangles are connected by a small piece of dark grey metal, and the upper triangle has a similarly-colored ring on its topmost point.
The Chrome Earrings have a moderate Ice resistance (which becomes a Holy resistance in Equip Remix), but their main effect allows their wearer to inflict Freeze with their weapon-elemental skills. As with all status-changing Flairs, this replaces the innate status effect of the wearer's equipped weapon; if multiple status Flairs are worn, only the leftmost one will take effect.
Unfortunately, the Chrome Earrings' Freeze chance is fairly low; even when fully forged and with three pieces of status-boosting Equipment, they'll only barely be guaranteed to Freeze a non-resistant foe. The Book of Spells (both regular and Alt) is more efficient and effective for Freezing foes en masse.

The Chrome Earrings are found inside a chest in the left wing of the Grand Gallery. The chest is behind a golden block, which requires a Golden Key to be removed.
